Well, today’s the final page of issue 2 and we end on a cliffhanger! Will Knuckles survive such a brutal stabbing?!! Sorry to say that you shouldn’t expect a new page next week and I’ve only scripted a few pages and the art hasn’t been started on it yet. Also, I don’t know how long until the cover of issue 3 is done. Snax is working on it right now.

In the meantime I am scripting a short story starring Marine. It’s a kind of prologue to Treasure Team Tango. If I can get an artist on that, it might act as a buffer between issues.

Hope you Rouge fans enjoy seeing her use her sonar. Something she’s never done in the games or comics but would be a normal power for a bat to have. Expect Eggman’s ignorance of the Chaos inhibitors to have a great impact in the future.

Here’s this weeks wacky shenanigans!

I bet you didn’t expect to see a Snax page here hunh? It’s been a long while, but he’s back for one week. Also, he’ll be doing the cover for Sonic Eggs issue 3. He’s our Spaz.

However, what you may not know is how old this page is. THIS IS HIS AUDITION PAGE! Yup, it’s the oldest Sonic Eggs page out there. Some of you may have already seen it on Bumbleking. You see, this is how far ahead I was plotting this story. Of course, things in the story changed a little from the original plot and I almost did have room to fit in, but I managed to sneak it in this week.

There’s only two more pages to go for issue 2! I REALLY got to start scripting issue 3 out as soon as possible.

Art by Jet, Letters by Q and Colors by our brand new guy, Bumbleking’s own Big Al Son. He’s gonna be a regular on here for awhile.

Next week will be on time I guarantee. Why? Let’s just say it’s been ready for a long, long while. I’ll explain next week.

In today’s script we finally get Eggman’s plot in full detail and who he’s been working with. The gentleman you see onscreen is Dr. Kai Narasu of S.O.N.I.C.X. an organization of small cameo characters from the anime who’s lives have been somehow ruined in some form by Sonic and who wish to ruin his life in return. The team was formed in the Sonic X comic book. I included Dr. Narasu cuz I just couldn’t figure out how Eggman could possibly clone a complicated being like Shadow without help. He did clone Cheese, but even with his super IQ, I don’t see how he could alone.

Today’s Comic is once again done almost fully by Jet with only the script written by me.

..And yes, the comic has another Spaceballs reference.

While the front page hasn’t made it obvious, we’ve actually had ECC’s first ever “holiday special” running this week: a five page Sonic Eggs Holiday Special from Tracy Yardley. Or Christmas special. I don’t really know. I’m Jewish and even I don’t really give a fig. Regardless, that’s been running this week, and we’ve got one more page lined up for Christmas Eve.

But that’s not all we got in store. I do believe I’ve said this before, but now I speak with said work actually done. Next week will see the launch of not one, not two, but THREE comics, which will each be released bi weekly for the forseable future. The new Redux, a new MEC which has been heavily edited to ensure it’s writing is a step up from past issues, and finally the second issue of ECC’s supposed flagship comic, Sonic Pulse. Hopefully you all will like this one. Lord knows even I don’t particularly care for my writing in the original.

With that said, some updates on a few other series. Staffers, despite having numerous scripts in the pipe, some of which where honestly genuinely making me laugh, has all but died. If any cartoonist out there cares to join us and revive it, we will welcome you. The Tales from the Emerald Coast story Tales of the Great War will continue it’s hiatus until the new year, where it will return to a twice weekly schedule until the issue has run it’s course. We are doing everything we can to make sure the lag time between issues isn’t too long, so sit tight! We may actually have another one off Tales series in the vein of the first issue in the pipe, but we’ll have to see where that goes. Until then, I leave you with a rather obvious teaser image about it’s subject matter.

Oh well, you can find the latest comic here. Jet did everything from the art, inking, coloring and even the letters. I thought he did a great job.

Well, that’s gonna be it for awhile. Or is it? While the main story is going on Christmas vacation, we will have a brand new Sonic Eggs Christmas special drawn and colored by Tracy Yardley. I’m so excited!

Now let’s hope this page doesn’t die as well.

HOWEVER! It’s not without a great Christmas treat! My great, wonderful, and handsome (yes, I kiss that much butt) benefactor Nuckles87 has commissioned art for a short, 5-page Sonic Eggs Christmas story he asked me to write. The pencils, inks and even colors will be done by none other than your pal and mine, Tracy Yardley! Expect so see it before Christmas! It’s funny, sweet and even a little heartwarming. There’s no Shades, but a fan favorite makes his return. I can’t wait!!

Although it’s a little late, I’ve still been pretty on course with Sonic Eggs comics as of late. Here, we get some embarrassing moments between Vanilla and her Daughter Cream, find that Bokkun’s crush is only one way and bring back one of the running gags from the anime.

Once again we got Jet on pencils and inks, Ame on colors, Q on letters and Elton John on the keyboard!!

I’m introducing EggTube in this weeks strip. I may do some separate strips showing more silly moments outside of it. Eggman’s got some good, embarrassing dirt on Sonic this time. Maybe he will give up Shades. Next week will see what happens when Vanilla and Cream get caught by the cameras.

Geez, the old Sonic X is still pretty popular! I got up early this morning and the CW had 3 episodes of it. Sega should take advantage of it and re-edit the series with the cut out scenes. Kinda like a “Sonic X Kai” They’d have to use the new cast, but I sure as heck wouldn’t mind that.
